Xoid is remake of the classic game Qix. But instead of simplicity in gameplay and graphics, Awem chooses clutter at every step.
The strength of Qix is in the simple gameplay mechanic, trace out a section of the map while avoiding the pixies, claim over a certain percentage and the map is yours. Simple, maddening, fun.
Xoid adds powerups, other enemies, boss monsters and just general distractions to the game. I appreciate the work going into this game, but I think they chose the wrong base game to add all these extras to.
