Pow Pow's Mini-Golf is a 3D Multi or Single player putt-putt golf game. The big "new" features are the 3D and characters. You now have the excitement of walking to each hole, and you have cutesy characters as avatars to slow you down on the way.
So how is the golf? No matter how you try and dress up the game, putt-putt is about the course and how you play it.
First the course. It is plain. It is similar to the 2x4 based courses you found by your grandma's trailer home. While some holes will add a feature, most are just angles and dips with a 2x4 placed in the way of the hole. For a 3D world that is trying to add realism, I have to say I have never played putt-putt on blue tiles before.
The 3D adds a little to the gameplay, but not much. Games like Verti Golf used the 3D to do some interesting things with the course and gameplay. Pow Pow offers up walking to the hole, and on one hole the excitement of finding the bridge to the next hole... The excitement of clicking on the ball to play the next shot, the excitement of waiting for the scorecard to be filled out, the excitement of...
You get the idea. The "features" of this game just get in the way of this game. But since underneath there isn't much new, that might not be a bad thing.
