A political puzzle game of sorts.

The game seems to have a great deal of depth, but then at times feels like a puzzle game where the developer has the "right" answer and we are left guessing which action is right to the developer.

It could also be helped with little interface improvements like tying in the policy screens to the corresponding sections/sliders.

Graphically it is should be a mess, showing you everything at once, but that actually works here. The feeling of knowing what is going on is much clearer than games like Political Machine. One big difference between those two is DG removes all location issues, and makes all concepts stretch across the entire country. This causes the game to feel more gamey puzzle and less a real world simulation.

I only played the demo, but the full game gives you access to multiple countries - which according to the forums offer very little variation. Too bad, the idea that running in one country over another would be fundamentally different is a cool idea and could add some real depth. The developer continues to support and add content, so there is hope this may be coming.

I think it's a mess. Feels flat and unengaging, I think just because of the layout.

Complex but excellent, well worth a try
