Help Bonnie write her children's book by spelling out words for her. Sound a little like Bookworm< /a>? While similar, there are enough changes to make Bonnie its own game, too bad all the changes make it a worse game than Bookworm< /a>.

While the intro and graphics lend itself to a kids game, the actual words and puzzles have little to do with the content. This is probably a good thing.

So what is different?

The game is turn based, so with a counting down of turns, your game ends well before the final click. Having long words not click off, or even return to the counter would have given the game some nice anxious moments as it winds down, instead you can see from far off - this game is over.

The odd tile maps take away some of the strategy of creating short words to drop down letters to form bigger words. The upper disconnected levels don't fall down on the lower levels.

Add to this the addition of gamey elements ? writers block and other special tiles, the game brings nothing good new to what
bookworm< /a> already does so well.

But it?s a free small download, so give it a shot. It is at least worth playing for a few minutes.

It has some features I prefer over Bookworm, but as Chet says, its given up some as well.
